|A little bigger than the Dunlin. The relatively short yellow paws are a sure distinguishing feature. It has a plumage of dark aspect without any redness. In small troops except the time of reproduction.
||It always stays in the North as long as the sea is not ice-cold some only coming down up to the North Sea. They always stay there on the rocky coasts and also on the dikes and the breezes blades. They move skillfully between waves on the wet and slippery pebbles.
|Habitat :||In summer on the rocky trays close to the coast, near stream or on the bands of pebbles brought by the sea. It is not frequent anywhere.|
