Purple Sandpiper ( Calidris maritima )

A little bigger than the Dunlin. The relatively short yellow paws are a sure distinguishing feature. It has a plumage of dark aspect without any redness. In small troops except the time of reproduction. Purple Sandpiper It always stays in the North as long as the sea is not ice-cold some only coming down up to the North Sea.
