Mandarin Duck ( Aix galericulata )

The mate is easy to identify. The female has a more discreet plumage with a white spot around the eye. It is the duck of forests, which likes rivers with woody islands, ponds of forests and wet undergrowth. Mandarin Duck Mandarin ducks often settle on branches over the water or on cliffs which appear. They have a fast and supple flight and they are little talkative.

Habitat  :It has a zone of nesting about 1000km of diameter in Extreme-Orient on the continent and the Japanese islands.
